The Spring intake gives international students the possibility to join Paris School of Business in January. So … ready to pack your bags?
Intakes in France: Fall intake & Spring intake
“What are the Fall intake and the Spring intake?”, you may wonder.
In some higher education institutions, the school year is divided into two seasons and students are free to start classes either in September (for the Fall intake) or in January (for the Spring intake).
In France, however, most universities/schools only welcome new students once a year, in September. Meaning that if you haven’t applied in time, you will therefore very likely have to wait for an entire year in order to apply for the following academic year, in September.
That being said, a small number of institutions – such as Paris School of Business – are offering a Spring intake and therefore giving students the possibility to enroll in January.
Why join Paris School of Business for the Spring intake?
You’ve missed the application deadlines for the Fall intake? You’ve started a program that you’re not crazy about and you’re craving for change? You’ve just decided to come study in Paris and you simply can’t wait?
Good news: admissions are open in Paris School of Business for the Spring season (the Spring intake’s in January).
The advantages are endless:
- You won’t have to wait for an entire year in order to apply to a business school in Paris;
- Your classes will be condensed and the school year will end in July, giving you the possibility to start the following academic year in the Fall season (for BBAs) or to graduate in the summer (for MScs);
- You will join a small class of students who all share the same interest in management and who’ve all applied to Paris School of Business for the Spring intake, just like you.
Fall intake vs. Spring intake in Paris School of Business
While students joining Paris School of Business in Fall follow classes from September to June, the academic year is slightly more condensed for students joining in the Spring semester, with classes starting in January and ending in July.
Does it mean that the diploma differs whether you start classes in the Fall semester or in the Spring semester? No, it doesn’t! While the schedule is more tightly packed for students applying for the Spring intake, the curriculum remains the same.
The main difference therefore resides in the work pace. The Spring semester is indeed somewhat more intense. But not to worry: the rhythm is perfectly manageable just as long as you remain serious and diligent!
