Professionalization contract: available to all students. From 26 years of age, a Job Center certificate must be provided.
Distinguishing factors:
- Higher financial support for students on apprenticeship contracts than on professionalization contracts
- Lower labor cost of apprenticeship contracts for companies
- Better protection for students on apprenticeships in the event of a break of contract
Salary
Work-study students are salaried employees of their host company and therefore receive a salary, the amount of which depends upon the contract, the age of the student and their level of studies.
Students on apprenticeship contracts receive an entering salary according to their age, the stage reached in their studies, and the number of years of prior apprenticeship experience.
Professionalization contract students receive a salary depending upon their age and the last diploma obtained.
