What is AACSB?

AACSB stands for Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. It is the largest business education alliance, aiming at creating the next generation of leaders by connecting students, educators and businesses.

What does AACSB do?

The mission of AACSB is to drive engagement, stimulate innovation and intensify impact in business education. Their vision is to transform business education for global prosperity. To oversee the smooth running of their mission, the association created an accreditation. The accreditation is a nongovernmental and voluntary process for which business schools can apply for. It includes a rigorous external review of the school’s ability to deliver high quality programs.
The AACSB accreditation is internationally recognized, and specialized for business and accounting programs at the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral level. The Accreditation Standards challenge post-secondary educators to pursue excellence and continuous improvement throughout their business programs. AACSB Accreditation is known, worldwide, as the longest standing, most recognized form of specialized/professional accreditation an institution and its business programs can earn.

Why is the AACSB accreditation important for students?

The AACSB Accreditation is important for students because it provides them with the assurance that the school they applied for will provide them with learning material most relevant to their field of study, thus preparing them to be effective leaders upon graduation.
