Islamic Finance Conference February 17th at Paris School of Business

We are proud to announce “The Paris School of Business Conference Series”, a series of conferences to be held throughout the year, on various subjects pertaining to the business world.

On Thursday, February 17th from 6:45p.m. to 8:30p.m. we will be holding a conference on the topic of Islamic Finance or the Alternative for Developing Economies.

It gives us great joy to announce that this conference will be given by, a Paris School of Business alumni, Gabriel DEUTOU, MS, MBA, DESS. Mr. Deutou graduated in 2007 from Paris School of Business. He then went on to receive his MBA in International Finance, in addition to an MS. in Policy of Economic Development.
Currently, Gabriel is working on completing his doctorate degree, writing his Ph.D. dissertation on the subject of the conference: Islamic Finance or the Alternative for Developing Economies”, all while working as an Associate Professor in universities in the Paris, France area.

In addition, Gabriel is an expert on International Development, and has published several books such as Confidences de la malice (Confessions of Malice) edition Book on Demand.

Gabriel will be joined by Paris School of Business professor, Eleanor Morrison. Eleanor J Morrison is a commodity trading professional with 15 years experience in international commodity markets.
Eleanor graduated with a BASc in Chemical

Engineering from University of Waterloo, Canada and an MBA from University of British Columbia, Canada.

She began her finance career in commodity trading as a portfolio manager, product structurer and focused on quantitative model development.  Then she relocated to New York and worked as a commodity trader for Goldman Sachs and Lehman Brothers.  Prior to moving into the consulting and teaching arena, Eleanor traded global commodity products for Lehman Brothers in London.

Eleanor is an experienced international presenter and specializes in structured products, options, risk management, and commodities.
Eleanor has an interest in the development of Islamic finance products at the global investment banking level.
