Paris School of Business has reached a significant milestone by regaining exemptions for four courses of the Diplôme Supérieur de Comptabilité et de Gestion (DSCG). This development is excellent news for students in the Master in Accounting, Auditing, and Management Control (CCA) program, opening the door to promising career opportunities in leading audit and consulting firms, as well as in the financial departments of major corporations.
A strategic exemption for aspiring Expert-Comptable (French Chartered Accountant)
The DSCG is an essential step for anyone pursuing a career as a Expert-Comptable (French Chartered Accountant) in France.
Typically, this Master's level diploma, comprising seven courses, is completed over two years. By regaining exemptions for four courses—Finance, Management and Management Control, Grand Oral, and Professional Relations—graduates of Paris School of Business’s CCA program will only need to pass three courses to earn this coveted credential.
Reducing the number of exams required allows students to save valuable time in obtaining the degree and fast-tracks their entry into the workforce. This adds to the 13 exemptions already granted for the courses of the Diplôme de Comptabilité et de Gestion (DCG), creating a coherent progression path for aspiring accountants and auditors.
An enhanced path to excellence
Paris School of Business has made significant adjustments to reclaim these exemptions, including a thorough redesign of its CCA curriculum within the Programme Grande École.
According to Olivier Aptel, Dean and CEO of Paris School of Business:
"The Accounting, Auditing, and Management Control pathway, offered in Master 1 and Master 2, provides our students with excellent career opportunities in key sectors. The exemption from certain DSCG courses allows them to focus more quickly on their professional integration, a considerable advantage in a competitive field."
A Return After a Freeze on Exemptions
The return of these exemptions follows a period during which the Ministry of Higher Education had suspended them across various academic institutions, both public and private.
Institutions must now meet the Ministry’s and the accounting profession's new requirements to regain such exemptions. For Paris School of Business, this recognition results from meticulous revisions to its programs and efforts to recruit highly qualified faculty members.
A Recognition That Reinforces Excellence
With prestigious international accreditations (EFMD, AACSB, AMBA), a faculty with 52% international members, and a network of 157 academic partners worldwide, Paris School of Business stands out for its global outlook and commitment to excellence. Currently, the school hosts more than 4,200 students, 34% of whom come from abroad.
The regaining of these DSCG exemptions further solidifies Paris School of Business's reputation as a leading institution in accounting and auditing education.
