FROM KAZAKHSTAN, MA IN ARTS & CULTURAL MANAGEMENT - CLASS OF 2014
Administrative Supervisor at EY in Astana, Kazakhstan
I chose PSB for its unique program with specialization in arts and culture, and specifically the Performing Arts/ Event Management track.
The field of performing arts has always been a fascinating sector for me, and though I had some professional experience in event management, it was certainly a domain in which I wanted to develop my expertise. I wanted to not only acquire academic knowledge but additional practical skills that would help me to perform better at work and launch new projects. The degree delivered in collaboration by PSB and IESA has given me just that.
Upon graduating in October 2014 and returning to home to Kazakhstan, I continued working at EY as manager of the administration department in the local office. I have since developed a strong working relationship with the International Art Development Association (IADA) which I had started helping out during my time in Paris.
The program gave me the unique experience that I had hoped for; it introduced me to new friends from all over the world, let me explore a new city, and, most importantly, provided me with ideas for events and projects that I would otherwise be too inexperienced or simply uncertain to manage but am now developing.
Plus, there was Paris – that will always stay in my heart.
